I am in a group at church that is called " Contemporary Christian Issues". Sometimes I think it should have another name like, "Doubters who want to cause others to doubt." Or "Let's band together and decide to not be Christians". Or maybe "Wisemen debate Fools." Ha ha well that last one was kind of snarky but you get what I mean. Anyhow. This week we talked about Hell.
Many of the D group ( D for Doubting Thomas') were talking about how our there is no reference to hell in the old testament. That hell is first mentioned in the new testament. Well I am not a grade A scholar but my first thought was why would they even follow a law of it didn't amount to anything in the end? I did know about Sheol though so I did some research and yes hell is mentioned in the Old testament. Many times in Fact.
Here is some info about the word Hell in the old testament:

And did you know that Hell is being eliminated by the new translations? YES IT IS.
Be careful what you read! Look at the difference in bible versions
HERE
Coincidentally the doubters are using the New Living( whatever way you want) Translation.
Yeah that was kind of snarky too but I get ruffled when I see people who need to know the TRUTH and they are being helped along on the way to yes HELL by false teachings and milk-toast bible translations.
Don't doubt Brothers and Sisters Hell is very real. The only way to God is through Jesus and yes "good" people go to hell everyday. Their righteousness IS like dirty rags.
